Let’s start with the incredible atmosphere of intentionally creating a warm, eco centric, bird loving, environment! Then, let’s talk about the food and drinks- delicious, mouth watering, high quality, and sustainably sourced ingredients! And finally, the target birds. The owners were so kind as to entering my target bird enthusiasm! Genuinely, this was such a wonderful visit on our time in the Burg. Thank you for crafting such a wonderful and qualitative experience!

First time visiting and I want to go back! They focus on environmentally conscious coffee that protect native bird habitats, which is awesome. Plus the coffee was delicious. I had a cappuccino and pour over, the pour over was very nice and the notes were as described. Also picked up a bag of coffee for home! The space is also beautiful. Love the vibe in there and casual seating.

Love the concept of this cafe! The bird facts and activism scattered around really sets this place apart, plus it’s a nice, quiet atmosphere to study/work in. The coffee here is really solid, especially enjoyed the Pandan Latte too! The coconut scone was also far better than I expected, really recommend for any other coconut fans! Overall a great spot to sip a drink and lock in, love it!

Stopped in here because I needed a quick coffee and the local Starbucks employees were on strike. So glad I did. Best espresso I've had in the states. I have since purchased a few bags of their beans online since i'm not local to Pittsburgh. The experience opened my eyes and made me realize I should be supporting smaller coffee roasters. Also, as an avid birdwatcher, I love the avian theme. Will come back every time I'm visiting Pittsburgh!

Redstart Roasters is one of those coffee shops that not only provides a good product and service, but also has a unique mission that they strive to achieve. One of the best things about this place isn’t their orchid latte (although it is absolutely delicious), but their dedication to being a bird friendly cafe and roaster. The service is fantastic and quick. Clemmy, a partner here, was welcoming and knowledgeable about the cafe, it’s offerings, and the goal of the company. He provided me with tons of details on the flavor profiles of their coffees and it was nice to learn that they ethically source everything. If you’re looking for a delicious spot with a great mission look no further!

This is probably my favorite cafe in Pittsburgh so far! I love that the space is open with lots of natural lighting. As a bird friendly cafe, they have lots of cute bird decorations all around the cafe! While the high table my friend and I sat at didn't have any outlets, there were quite a lot at other tables as well as the couch area. As for beverage, I got a lavendar latte and it was good as expected :) Although I wish they had more menu options, such as seasonable specials (they have a pretty standard menu). What really surprised me about this cafe is that it's situated at a plaza and comes with free parking—definitely rare in Pittsburgh!!! Overall, I would definitely recommend this cafe given its cute, well lit environment, the convenience of parking/outlets and its decent drinks.

What a great coffee shop! It’s on the bottom floor of an office building. Bird themed, there are bird books and stuffed animals everywhere. Plenty of seating in two rooms and parking out front. My hot ube latte was excellent and my wife enjoyed her iced latte.

Great coffee, and the strawberry muffin was good too. Nothing beyond cafe snacks, but lots of seating and ability to hang out reading or whatever else. That's what I did while I waited for a show not far away. The coffee was pretty darn delicious, competitive with what I make at home (that's incredibly rare). And guy making coffee was friendly, talked just enough, and it was all great. The atmosphere is just a cafe, not bad, not unique, but worth a stop if you want coffee.

Redstart Roasters had such a relaxing casual atmosphere. The service is excellent. There is a great variety of menu coffee choices. They also offer Herbal teas for those who are not coffee drinkers like me. Your choice of coffee is freshly ground and brewed on the spot. They offer delicious cookies and scones to enjoy with your coffee. The setup allows for two or three people to talk and enjoy private conversations, or maybe you just want to sip coffee and get some work done on your laptop, there is a comfy space for both. There are bar tables where several people can plug in and work together, as well as easy chairs where you can sit, relax, and get away from it all. There is also outside seating. And while you are there, check out their coffee table book collections on birds. While hysterically funny, the books do offer knowledge about our feathered friends. If you are looking for a quiet relaxing place to go, on a casual date, meet with friends, work alone or with a group, or simply to enjoy some great coffee, Redstart Roasters is the perfect place. Oh, and did I mention their prices are unbeatable? Yes, they are!
